HUE TO HOI AN BY PRIVATE CAR
Hue and Hoi An are two of the most beautiful ancient cities in Central Vietnam. Hue, the capital city, has been famous for the royal palace, tombs, pagodas and craft villages; whilst Hoi An attracts millions of tourists by its seductive beauty of being a heritage city. Travelling from Hue to Hoi An by private car travellers can admire the massive Marble Mountain, My Khe beach, Hai Van (Top Gear) Pass, Lang Co oyster farm, Elephant Spring and Thanh Toan tiled bridge.
Thanh Toan Village is an ideal place for those who love the peace, quiet and rustic beauty of this Vietnamese village. Thanh Toan tile roofed bridge is an ancient bridge of special structure, located in the village of Thanh Thuy Chanh, about 8 km east of Hue city centre. Through the vicissitudes of time and the history, the bridge still maintains its original architectural features. In September, 1991, the bridge was restored and was officially recognised by the Ministry of Culture and Information as a rare national monument.
2. Elephant Spring – waterfall
Elephant Spring, which is situated between two waterfalls, is a wonderful natural lake about 30 m2 and with a depth of over 2m. This cool blue lake is so clear you can easily see right to the bottom. It is named Elephant Spring as there is a rock at the foot of the waterfall shaped like a real elephant spraying water. Local delicacies may be enjoyed here.
3. Hai Van Pass – Lang Co Lagoon
Hai Van pass (Top Gear Vietnam special) is a natural border between Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city. This amazing winding road takes in some of the most beautiful and picturesque scenery imaginable. There are places en route to stop for photographs and to enjoy traditional Vietnamese coffee. Also, there are panoramic views from the top of the mountain at the American Bunker. Along the foot of the Hai Van mountain you’ll find perfect white beaches and the clear blue seas of Lang Co beach and Lagoon.
4. Marble Mountain – My Khe Beach
Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son) consists of 5 limestone mountains, representing 5 feng shui elements: Kim, Moc, Thuy, Fire, Tho, risng on a sandy beach, located on the Da Nang – Hoi An route. Thuy Son is the largest and most beautiful mountain. Here visitors will be charmed by the wonderful caves and temples, such as Huyen Khong, Hell Phu, Van Thong cave, Tam Thai Pagoda and the Linh Ung Pagoda. This is surely a perfect stop to admire the beauty of the Marble Mountain and My Khe Beach.
5. Cham Museum
Cham Museum of Sculpture in Da nang city is the largest museum of artifacts of Cham Pa Kingdom in Vietnam. The oldest museum built by the French, which collects, stores and displays sculptural artifacts of the Cham Kingdom found in Cham Towers and temples in the coastal provinces of South Central Vietnam.
